Beatiful and ethical jewellery by Ingle & Rhode
This month sees the launch of a beautiful range of ethical jewellery by Ingle & Rhode . They only buy conflict-free diamonds, which are cut and polished by workers employed in good conditions and the origin of all their gem stones can be traced back which ensures their ethical nature. The gold is fairly traded and mined without using cyanide or mercury. The communities they trade with benefit from 10% of their profits, which go towards funding health, education and development.

The company was created when David Rhode tried (and failed) to buy his girlfriend an ethical engagement ring - “I couldn’t believe how hard it was to buy a ring with ethically sourced component materials,” David says. “We wanted to create a brand that responds to new consumer demands and hope that the industry will follow our lead.”
The range includes many classic designs but also many contemporary styles, such as the bamboo inlaid pendant with leaf detail by Stephanie Rae shown above. Ingle & Rhode have teamed up with three other high profile jewellery designers to bring customers a diverse and elegant collection, which can be purchased online or (by appointment) at their Picadilly store.
