At last US admits human activity is main cause of global warming
At long last, the Whitehouse is admitting what the rest of the world has known for years. Professor John Marburger, president Bush’s top scientific advisor has come out and said that it was more than 90% likely that global warming was caused by mankind and that the Earth may become “unlivable” without cuts in CO2 emissions. Prof. Marburger told the BBC: “I think there is widespread agreement on certain basics, and one of the most important is that we are producing far more CO2 from fossil fuels than we ought to be… And it's going to lead to trouble unless we can begin to reduce the amount of fossil fuels we are burning and using in our economies.” He went on to say: “The CO2 accumulates in the atmosphere and there's no end point, it just gets hotter and hotter, and so at some point it becomes unlivable.”
President Bush has yet to accept that human activity is the cause of global warming, the furthest he’s gone so far is to say that human activity may be a contributory factor in global warming, which is to a great extent reflected in his policies, or lack of policies on reducing US CO2 emissions. The world’s biggest contributor to climate change gas emissions is in denial, what hope have we got?
Dont be fooled. Its costing the oil drillers more and more each year to get the oil to us. They need us to economise so they can increase costs. This is the sole reason why we have man made global warming. The more we economise the more they will charge us. I for one would just wish it would all run out tomoro, but instead theyre making us have to pay for insulation, more eco cars. I'm not against all this, I'm having to future proof myself already as in wind power and more insulation in my home. It will all cost us and nothing will change, we just move the carbon somehwere else. The mid east war is not going to plan, so now the US is telling us that its our fault. If the taxes they collect where used to pay non gov scientists for more research into fusion and hydrogen then that would be good, but wheres the tax going? to take the oil from the mid east. Its that simple. You know it wont be CO2 that finishes us, it will be too much Oxygen.
