A survey has been carried out by Rachel's Organic as part of the Soil Association's 'Wake up to an organic breakfast' campaign to find out what us Brits eat first thing in the morning. The results show that one in eight skip breakfast altogether but 58% of those who do partake in the 'most important meal of the day' choose organic produce all or most of the time. Of the 2049 people questioned the breakdown of products eaten are as follows: 67% have cereal, 62% have toast, 34% have fruit, 32% have eggs and 23% choose yogurt.
Steve Clarke from Rachel’s Organic comments on the findings saying: ‘With 6 out of 10 opting for organic on their breakfast menu, it’s very good news for the organic movement in the UK.’
