The green way to keep bugs at bay
A long, wet rainy season (sound familiar) followed by a period of heat is the perfect recipe for mosquitoes, I'm told, and I'm already itching at the thought of it. So it's probably time to get hold of some repellent.
I've never been much of a fan of spraying myself with strong, chemical insecticides, so anything natural that claims to zap biting bugs is of definite interest. And this year, there's loads to choose from. One of the best natural ranges I've found is Colibi, which provides a non-toxic alternative and is fair trade as well, produced by a community project near Pondicherry in southern India. It contains fifteen botanical oils used in nature by plants and contains no chemicals or animal ingredients. Choose from incense sticks, body sprays, candles and roll-ons to stay mosquito free. You can buy the products online from Himalaya UK.
