MOP (Modern Organic Products) has launched its C-Straight organic range as the perfect styling solution for beautiful, healthy, straight coloured hair. The range is free of parabens and sulphates, chock full of antioxidant vitamins A, C and E and UV protectors to keep your glowing locks shiny and smooth rather than dry and sun damaged. C-Straight is a 4 step system that begins with cleansing and culminates in super sleek locks. The products included in this system are: smoothing shampoo, smoothing conditioner, straightening cream and smoothing shine lotion.
MOP was established in 1998 by David Raccuglia, a renowned stylist and the CEO and founder of American Crew, in response to an increasing need for natural products that don’t lack in the performance area. As well as utilising a range of natural ingredients, MOP also has a no animal testing policy.
The beauty brand’s products are not the most natural you will find out there, for instance, the shine lotion contains phenoxyethanol, which has been cited by some sources as a skin irritant and cyclomethicone, which can block pores, irritate skin and is non biodegradable. The straightening system is not suitable for vegans because beeswax is used in the products. However, compared to many other salon industry grooming products MOP is a marked improvement and I expect you will be hard pushed to find a straightening system that is 100% chemical free.
