Rabbit Amnesty announced by sex toy retailer
Sex toy retailer Love Honey have announced a 'Rabbit Amnesty' which basically means that anyone who returns their old 'Rampant Rabbit' vibrators for recycling will receive a new one for half the price. The company are trying to encourage their customers to keep in line with EU regulations which say all household electrical goods should be disposed of in a responsible manner, by asking them to sign up to the 'Rabbit Amnesty Pledge'. It means you can have your old vibrator recycled, but you don't have to face the embarrassment of taking it to your local council tip! Once you take the pledge you can return your old vibrator to Love Honey and they will ensure they are recycled and will give £1 to the World Land Trust .

Ruth Wilkinson from LoveHoney.co.uk explains the recycling process: ‘We take the used vibrators to a Designated Collection Facility (DCF). There the vibrators will be stripped of components that can be reused - these would most likely be resold. Printed circuit boards, which many vibrators feature, contain hazardous metals such as lead, chromium, cadmium and mercury.
It is the DCF's responsibility to ensure that these are disposed of to the legal environmental standards. Specialist recyclers will normally recover these materials. If any vibrators are returned in boxes, the cardboard will be sent to a specialist cardboard recycler for processing.’
N.B. I was tempted to post this under 'Do It Yourself', but I refrained!

There are many shops that carry ECO friendly sex toys; which don’t use potentially hazardous materials.Among them is our site called Cybernooky Sex Toys.
