LG eco steam washing machine that does the ironing too

LG%20washing.jpg

LG have made a washing machine that does the ironing too. The Korean electronics giant who make everything says the technology in its £800 Steam Direct Drive washing machine is also super eco-friendly because it can wash clothes using a steam jet rather than filling up with water. This means a water saving of 35% on conventional machines and energy saving of 21%, which is why this state-of-the-art washer has been given an A++ energy rating. I was also told that the direct drive system they use which spins the drum directly from the motor rather than using a belt make the LG much quieter.

Most people might be more excited by the ironing feature which uses steam to remove creases in garments in just 20 minutes, eliminating the need for ironing, says LG. Although the eco claims are not necessarily squeaky clean.

The eco efficiency claims are not quite accurate because the steam programme is only for intensive stains and not for normal washing, so it's only going to provide a saving on certain washes. However, if you do use it for ironing it will save on that electric. It’s priced at the upper end of the market at £799, which isn’t too bad it’s only for the white one. If you want the funky flower and other patterned pretties you will have to fork out £1300. Wow.
