Toy giants Mattel forced to recall even more harmful toys

_44058376_barbie_getty_203b.jpgFor the second time in as many weeks toy manufacturing giants Mattel have been forced to recall more of it's toys. This time it's all been too much for the boss of the Chinese manufacturing company involved, who was found hanged in his office yesterday. The toys concerned were manufactured in Hong Kong and high levels of lead have been found in the paint which is used to decorate them. It includes 253,000 Sarge die-cast models from the Pixar film Cars - 49,000 of which are said to have been sold in the UK. The company have blamed a subcontracted company called Hong Li Da, who are believed to have bought the paint from an unauthorised source. This is the latest in a series of product recalls from China, and analysts believe it could seriously damage the 'Made in China' brand.
