Anya Hindmarch spoofs roundup
Ever since Anya Hindmarch launched her fabled 'not a plastic bag' bag into the eager hands of a baying mob, there's been a flurry of creative activity involved in copying her much coveted masterpiece, and it's resulted in some really interesting work!
Some are simple knock-offs, looking to cash in on the eagerness of fashionistas to hand over money for one, others are sarcastic piss-takes while others still take the idea into really quite inventive territory. Here's a quick sample...
My personal favourite is pictured on the left. 'One less plastic bag' was made by Pink Hickey on Craftster, and I love the detailed scene she's added using fabric paint. I'm not a smug twat:
This one doesn't pull any punches: Available in multiple retailers, it costs £20 ($12), a respectable price for a canvas tote-bag, and allows the wearer to show disdain for the baying mob. Until it becomes a victim of its own success and turns into the next it-bag, that is!

The direct approach: Another of those sardonic Craftster folk came up with this little gem, which looks at first glance pretty similar to the 'real thing'.

A clear, middle-finger assault on the green brigade? Or possibly a reminder that the forbidden material can be recycled and turned into something re-usable. We found this one on - with instructions - Craftster.

After the wit and venom of all the others, this one featured on Catwalk Queen seems almost apologetic. But we don't mind...we still love you! After all, you're not an Anya Hindmarch bag, and that's what counts!
