Ixibike - Collapsible bikes have never looked better

This is the coolest bike I’ve seen in along time. Sorry to sound teenage, but this is the way to get around without a car. The Ixibike is a new design concept in collapsible two-wheelers. Not only does it have bendable handle-bars and pedals, which reduce it from a width of 22” to 12” in seconds, it also splits in half with the twist of one bolt. Now it’s easy to pop in the car, take on a bus or train and leave the short journeys to pedal power.

It boasts a light-weight aluminium frame, 4 shimano gears, but best of all it doesn’t use a greasy chain but an innovative belt-drive system. It’s the business for getting to work without a stain. The entire article weighs about 12 kilos or 26 lbs, so it’s got what it takes to make it a great eco transport choice. It’s not yet available in the UK. At the moment it’s $999 dollars for the break-way model that splits into two. That’s relatively expensive for a folding bike. You can buy seconds off their website for $599, which is a decent saving.
