Government considers green rooves to tackle global warming
Government ministers are looking towards sustainable buildings, including office blocks, covered with vegetation, in a bid to fight against global warming. Apparently green roofs will help absorb CO2 emissions, improve house insulation and slash heating bills. The roofs can incorporate root barriers and irrigation systems and only need weeding once a year.
Living roofs are not a new phenomenon, they were developed in Germany in the 1960s, to benefit the environment and cool down cities. 10 per cent of roofs in Germany have green roof lawns. The temperatures on green roofs have been shown to be up to 26C cooler than regular roofs, cooling down cities by as much as 6C.
Green roofs for the home are planted on a thin layer of soul and can incorporate grass, mosses and flowering plants. Green office roofs with more space have the potential to carry small trees, shrubs, flowers and vegetable gardens.
The Department on the Environment is working in collaboration with Yvette Cooper, the housing minister on including houses with green roofs in their proposals for sustainable housing.

Hi,
if you guys want to make your roofs green, by all means, go ahead.
However, assuming that CO2 is the culprit in the
current change of climate is so out of touch with science, it is now getting ridiculous.
Climate changes by natural causes. Nothing else.
Read the right literature and you will find out soon enough. Unless of course the current IPCC
and Gore dogma's fit your agenda like a glove, then sorry, I have no other advice for you.
You can't be saved.
