Cutting-edge green architecture American style - DesignDC '07

This week has seen the American people taking green consciousness by the horns, and now American architects are getting into it too. The big attraction at this year’s American Institute of Architects conference, DesignDC ’07, is international green design guru Bruce Mau. The conference, due to take place in Washington DC this month, will see the Canadian architectural design boss speaking on sustainable architecture, materials to reduce energy consumption and green space planning.
Bruce Mau’s book, Massive Change, presents an array of innovative and practical approaches for changing how to live and correcting “the ills” of our planet. It’s a kind of big eco-design picture book about how to build things with a more green brain than we’ve been doing for the last hundred years. You can also check out his website.
