Back to black

camillanorrbackblack.jpgI know it's supposed to be summer, but the floods seem to have put pay to any hopes of sunshine ever arriving for a prolonged period of time, in 2007. So, in tune with the weather, I have turned my fashion mood to autumn and winter, where black on black is rocking the catwalk. To be on trend blend textures, such as a velvet jacket with a shiny dress, a matt skirt with a shiny top, or a matt dress with shiny black shoes and accessorise with heavy, rather than delicate jewellery. Above all, make sure it's ethical.

Below I have put together an ethical outfit made from black separates, which would be great for the office or going out for lunch (in which case team with some more colourful jewellery). You will be pleased to know that the top and cardigan are made from 100% organic cotton, (so they won't contain any traces of toxic chemicals and pesticides), the skirt is made from hemp and tencel (fairly environmentally friendly fabrics) and although I cannot confirm the material used for the shoes, they are vegan (so no animal cruelty was involved anywhere in the extraction or production process).

1) Camilla Norrback, Crease Top Black, 100% organic cotton, 455 kr - Mint & Vintage.
2) Frank & Faith Gaby Cardigan, 100% organic cotton, £45 - Adili.
3) Vivienne Pencil Skirt, 55% hemp and 45% tencel, £95 - Enamore.
4) Novacas Bella Black shoes, $59.99 - Moo Shoes.
