Sorry, we're not ready - Government's carbon calculator starts off on the wrong footprint : Hippyshopper

I call upon the Government to act swiftly on this issue, make real changes happen for the benefit of this fine country, and above all – stop fluffing around. Is that good enough for political jargon?

Now I could just take the Government’s word for it that their carbon Calculator is proving so popular that their website can’t cope with demand – but considering I tried to use it at 7:30am the day after it was launched, I am less inclined to believe them. Instead I got this message.

“Thanks very much for visiting the carbon calculator - we really value your interest. So that we are able to ensure your journey through the calculator is as quick and efficient as possible and because it is proving so popular we are currently expanding the site's capacity.

It will be raring to go shortly, so please visit again.”

Well I hope so. It’s a bit naff that they couldn’t get their website sorted for the launch. It’s a shame, since this could actually get people to change their energy habits.
