Green things to do this weekend
For those in or around London, Camden Green Fair and bikefest in Regents Park promises to offer a pleasant day out, with some decent June-like weather predicted for Sunday. Highlights include an ethical fashion show, cute animals at the mini city farm, and the chance to test-drive some of the latest green cars.
If you've got kids who've just gone through a rainy half term, a visit to Bewilderwood might just be the thing to send them back to school fitter, healthier and less bored. It's a fantastic environmentally friendly adventure park that opened last week in the wilds of Norfolk, the first of its kind in the UK. A magical playground of tree-houses, zipwires and giant creatures, Bewilderwood is spread over 50 acres of land. It's all built from sustainable, pesticide-free wood, and where Thorpe Park and its like have greasy burger bars, Bewilderwood has a 'snack shack' selling locally-sourced organic food and smoothies. Now, if only they'd had this when I was a kid...
