Enamore launch Beaucoco jewellery range
Enamore.co.uk have just launched Beaucoco ethical jewellery on their website. The first range has been hand-crafted by locals on the remote tropical island of Rodrigues, 650km east of Mauritius. Local natural materials have been utilised in this beautiful and unique range that is perfect for summer.
Beaucoco are committed to ethical trading, helping to cultivate the creative skills of disabled Creoles and providing paid employment on an island with high unemployment. Veteran designer Bettina Bunce had established a background in fair trade before it became trendy, working for major organisations such as Oxfam.
For this range Bettina resided in Rodrigues with her family for a year and worked with a local producer group, complementing their craft skills with her amazing talent for design.
My favourite pieces are the Flat Pebble Necklace for £34 and the Crystal Drop Bracelet for £32.
