Traidcraft launches latest super Geobar

Geo%20bar.jpg

Pumping yourself full of super-foods is now easier thanks to the launch of the new fairtrade Blueberry & Raisin Geobar from Traidcraft. Brits have gone barmy over blueberries since they were singled out by many leading nutritionists for the highest antioxidant content of any fruit or vegetable. Apparently this can reduce the risk of some cancers. Based in Gateshead, Traidcraft is the UK's leading fairtrade organisation and has been fighting poverty through trade since 1979. The Blueberry bar’s box features honey producer and single parent Celia Gonzalez from Chile, who is one of the bee keepers providing honey for Geobars. She uses the money she earns to support her five children.

The new Blueberry & raisin bar joins the existing apricot, cranberry and chocolate Geobar varieties. Sold in boxes of 6 bars for £1.89, they and are available in Waitrose and independent retailers nationwide. If your really nuts about them, you can buy them in bulk directly from Traidcrafts online store.
