Review: Doktor Power - Green cleaning for tough stains

doktor%20power.jpgIf you're looking for an effective cleaning product that won't add to your chemical splash, I can recommend Doktor Power (£4.99 from JML Direct) as a great alternative to chemical-laden concoctions like Cillit Bang. This rather radioactive-looking neon pot actually contains all-natural ingredients, and is one of the best cleaners I've found for removing stubborn grease. I know this, because I had a new flatmate move in this week, and after one application of this stuff, I wasn't embarrassed to show her the kitchen...

Unlike most cleaning products, Doktor Power is a solid block that quickly lathers into a citrus-smelling paste that can be used to clean ovens, hobs, worktops, scaly tiles, grimy car alloys or even to brighten up gold and silver. The paste is non-acidic and 97% biodegradable, making it far greener than most of its rivals.

Have tried Doktor Power for the first time today and it certainly seems to do what it says on the label. However, why are the contents not listed? Interestingly, if you go to JML Direct, and search, there is no mention of Doktor Power. I bought mine in Woolworths.

I am the presenter in the UK of this product on sky channel 631

I have tried many household cleaning products in the line of my work - and I have to say this is the best one that I have found that just simply does what it says on the tin.

When JML sent me some prior to filming, I tested the claims. I went round the bathroom - it is ace for cleaning mirrors (takes a lot less time to clean it off and get a streak-free finish) - was ace for the shower door, and as it's a metal cleaner too - it was brilliant on the taps - chrome and gold plated ones

I took it into the kitchen, was great for the grease traps, cleaning scuff marks off of any paintwork - and even brought the sink up much better than cream or spray cleaners

I don't have to say this, nor am I being paid to say it - but for those people who hate housework - you will love Doktor Power cos you can do the whole lot carrying around the same product and do the lot, quickly. I've just mentioned a few of it's many uses

It's an instant gratification cleaner - give it a try - I'm not lending anyone mine :)
