Return of the knitted river: March to Parliament for WaterAid

water%20aid%20river.jpgRemember the knitted river? well, it's grown a bit since its stint at the Eden Project and will be winding its way through London tomorrow, as part of a march organised by WaterAid. The river, which has been one year in preparation, is made up of thousands of blue squares sent by knitters from all around the world. The plan is to take it to Parliament, where marchers will demand an end to water poverty, ensuring clean, safe water for all.

If you're not too far away, why not show your support by turning up for a fun day and a historic spectacle. The meeting place is in Vauxhall Spring Gardens (very close to Vauxhall transport hub for Tube, buses and rail) at 11am on Saturday 12th May. The event will be finished by 2pm leaving you plenty of time to make the most of your afternoon in London, and meet other supporters. And if you're into knitting, why not check our our new craft site, crafty crafty?
