Soon, you'll be able to know if a gadget is green by looking for the 'green tick' logo, being introduced into the consumer electronics market by Phillips.
The logo will be placed on products that have been deemed to have 'significantly better energy efficiency than the competition', so for those without a tech background, I guess you'll just have to take that on faith. But Phillips does have a good track record, having been voted among the 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World for three years running, and having come number 1 in the Dow Jones sustainability index in the leisure category.
