People Tree launches Japanese Vogue designer collection

peopletree%20bora%20asku.jpgThere seems to be no stopping People Tree at the moment; its Fairtrade certified clothes are appearing in more and more mainstream stores, and the designs just keep getting better. Now, the people behind the 'Tree' have decided to take things up a notch, and move the label into high fashion, bringing in some heavyweight designers in a collaboration with ultra-chic Japanese Vogue.

The designer collection is available on People Tree's site now, and includes this tunic dress by Thakoon.

There's also a beautiful, deep-red v-neck dress by Bora Asku that incorporates a recycled sari sash, each one of which is unique. Prices range from £68 to £115 - all very reasonable for the designers involved.

Profits from the range will support and give additional technical assistance to producer groups to enable them to compete and promote livelihoods in rural areas and promote Fair Trade Fashion. They are in a limited edition of 100 pieces per style, so buy while you can!
