There's no getting away from it - books are entirely made out of paper. But here's the good news: they only amount for 2% of all the paper produced in the world, so aren't too likely a candidate for the eco sin bin. And now, Penguin Books is aiming to reduce this figure even further, by printing all of its popular classic titles on 100% recycled paper.
The 'Green Penguin' range encompasses everything from Homer’s Odyssey to Orwell’s 1984, and is available now from the Penguin Classics site Amazon, and most bookshops, at just £2 a throw. So why not make this the opportunity to catch up on any classic titles you never got round to reading, while doing your bit for the environment at the same time?
