New Nokia chargers tell you when you're fully charged
The obvious time to charge your mobile is while you're asleep, and I was guilty of this wasteful habit for years. Nowadays, I only charge it when I'm alert enough to unplug once the battery's full, but it's all too easy to forget, and leave it sucking in electricity for hours. Not only is this disasterous for the environment, it wrecks your battery too.
Which is why I think this little 'wake up call' from Nokia is just genius, and should win the 'why didn't anyone think of this before?' prize for good thinking...

once your mobile is fully charged, Nokia's new chargers will alert you so that you can unplug. At the momebt, customers buying a Nokia 1200, 1208 or 1650 will get one of these smart chargers for free, but I'm sure it'll be rolled out to all new phones before long, and other makes are bound to follow suit - and this is going to save a lot of electricity...enough, in fact, to power 85,000 phones.
