I never thought I'd catch myself saying this, but I've just fallen in love with a new range of clothing from (whisper it) Laura Ashley. Laura Ashley is cool! OK, so it's actually an old range from Laura Ashley, as the flowery store that was briefly hip in the 80s has come back into view with its limited edition Archive range, based on classic designs that date back to the store's early days in the 1960s.
Original styles and prints have been revitalised for the collection, all of which is made in 100% organic cotton, in prints that reference nature. These include the brand's first ever print design, the 'humble daisy'. All the summer's trends are well catered-for, with beautifully decorated maxi-dresses in yellow and white 'sweet rocket' print, floral sprigs smock tops and quilted patchwork bags. The range is available online and in selected stores now.
