The Eden Project already has some beautiful works of art on display, but they'll soon be joined by one of the most breathtaking yet: entitled 'Seed', the sculpture is a giant monolith weighing more than the heaviest stone at Stonehenge, and currently stands beside the chasm at De Lank Quarry on Bodmin Moor where the stone was extracted after a long search for a boulder big enough for such a huge work of art. It's heading for the project's Core Education Building on the weekend of 9-11 June.
Once installed, the sculpture will be lit exclusively from the natural daylight, meaning that the weather and seasons will play across its surface. The sculpture's arrival will be celebrated on June 20 when Peter Gabriel features in a specially-created concert at the Eden Project.

It is hard to imagine anything less like a mythical Eden than the synthetic, unnatural, plastic, environmentally destructive and misleadingly self-styled 'eden' 'project'.
