Fairy Hammocks - eco sanitary protection by Weenotions

fairy_hammocks__loads_3.jpgThe term 'fairy hammock' was coined by comedienne Jo Brand when she described the old fashioned bulky sanitary pads with the loops at each end. Things have come a long way since then with the introduction of wings and thong pads, but in my opinion no glossy adverts can cover up the fact that disposable panty liners are bad news for the environment. If you agree, why not try out these re-usable pads by Weenotions?

They are hand made by WAHMs (work at home mums) using various layers of organic materials, and a layer of waterproof PUL, to prevent any wetness reaching your underwear. Like their non-eco counterparts the pads come in various sizes to suit your flow requirements, but unlike regular panty liners you can get these fairy hammocks in lots of different colours and designs, including camouflage and leopard print. Prices vary according to thickness and design, but on average 6 re-usable panty liners will cost approximately £17.50.
