Clean, crisp and organic – how bed-linen should be
We all spend a great deal of our lives in bed, so it makes sense for us to be surrounded by the most natural materials rather than a cocktail of chemicals. Unfortunately, cotton is one of the most heavily sprayed crops, with both insecticides and pesticides. That’s why organic really is best when it comes to sheets, pillows and duvets. The thing about organic is, it not only protects the planet, but, it is much better for us too.
Albatross is a company that produces beautiful organic bed-linen, pillows, duvets and towels. Their prices are reasonable, for example, a king size flat sheet costs £43. They have been featured in Vogue magazine’s Natural Selection for an organic lifestyle and the Telegraph magazine. All of their products are certified organic and use minimal chemical treatments. They are fairly traded too, which is always a good thing.
Albatross have a website where you can find their expanding range of products, which now includes organic cotton pj’s and lingerie, with future products such as beauty care, baby care and interior design in the pipeline. I for one am looking forward to the interior design products especially.
