VIVA Reading Roadshow - Saturday 21 April
If you haven't got plans for the weekend yet, and enjoy the sound of a day sampling delicious veggie food, why not head to the Incredible Veggie Roadshow in Reading?
The event, taking place on Saturday, is being organised by Viva (Vegetarians International Voice for Animals), and looks like a lot of fun for foodies and conscientious animal-lovers alike. You'll get to sample some of Viva's delicious and inventive recipes, from international dishes you can whiz up at home to ready-to-go convenience foods.
You can learn some new skills, with live cookery demos and classes, and browse and buy lots of veggie goodies – from chocolate to cruelty-free cosmetics, bags to books, convenience foods to clothing, wallets to wallcharts and toys to T-shirts. There's loads more info here, but doors open at 10.30am (closing 4.30pm) and entry is just £1.
