Veja fairtrade trainers now available in UK

veja_whitegreen.JPG
If you're looking to get fit for the summer, check out Veja, a range of sports casual shoes - now available in UK shops - similar to classic 1970s styles from Puma and Green Flash. The difference is they're made to fairtrade standards, and can be identified with their distinctive 'V' motif. They're also made from organic cotton, which comes from a small village in Brazil - where many of these classic sneaker styles actually originate.

A wide range of colours and styles are available in the label's 'volley', 'bota' and 'eco-leather' ranges (NB it's not veggie leather, but it's been treated in a way that's sensitive to the environment).Check out Veja's website for a list of stockists, which are dotted all around Europe, Asia and the US.
