Rubbish! book by Richard Girling
It's not actually a rubbish book, far from it, but it's what this book by Richard Girling's about. It takes a fascinating look at the history of rubbish and how our waste is dealt with in the 21st century. According to the book, the UK disposes of enough rubbish every hour to fill the Albert Hall. It also looks at the way in which waste disposal hasn't changed much through the centuries, with the crude method of burial still being the top choice. This book is both amusing and informative. Girling is certainly passionate about the subject matter, calling on all of us to reconsider our waste and the future destruction of our environment.
