Kingstone Brewery hopping towards sustainability

keystonepump_small.jpgIt's always good to save the planet while you drink beer, and Keystone Brewery are doing their bit to help us achieve this with their new initiatives to become sustainable. The brewery in Wiltshire only uses products bought from local farms, thus reducing their food miles. They have also teamed up with a local company called Soltrac Ltd to test out three different solar water heating systems in the hope that they will be suitable for brewery application. All of Keystone's water is obtained via local boreholes and they plan to start harvesting this water in the very near future. They currently produce four regular beers, plus one seasonal brew, but unfortunately they are only available in selected pubs and stores in the south of England. Maybe one of our readers could go try some and report back?
