Global Mamas ethical clothing now at Topshop
A new ethical fashion label is coming to the shelves of Topshop. Global Mamas, a cooperative of women batik clothesmakers in Ghana were able to gain access to the British high street fashion market thanks to Design4Life Ghana, an ethical fashion design organisation aimed at helping designers in the third world.
Global Mamas caught the eye of style scouts at the launch of the Ethical Fahsion Show in Paris in October 2006, and the winning designs then went into production in Ghana and are for sale now in larger branches of Topshop.
