Energy Saving Trust to sponsor Grand Designs Live

grand%20designs.JPGGrand Designs Live, the biggest contemporary design event in the UK is getting a green sponsor this year: the Energy Saving Trust. The show will also be featuring some exciting green home design exhibitors.

You've probably seen the TV show of the same name, in which inseanely ambitious people create spectacular dwellings out of old bits of wood and things they find in skips; a noble gesture in a world full of waste.

Grand Designs Live takes place between 8th and 10th June at London's Excel centre. At the show you can browse over 650 stands, each offering advice on cutting edge interior decoration, garden design, home-build and shopping, so you can leave stoked up with ideas on how to build your dream home, and if it's an eco-home you want, there'll be plenty to take in: Exhibits include The Green Garden, where you can pick up ideas for creating the 'ultimate green garden' in an area sponsored by Christian Aid and in association with The Eden Project. There'll also be an eco-chic bathroom to explore, and a fully-furnished eco-timber house outside the centre, made by German eco-housing pioneers Baufritz.
