Black Isle Organic Blonde beer
Beer is good! There's no denying it, and unfortunately for my waistline I like to try all sorts of different types, and I like to try them often!
This blonde beer by organic brewers the Black Isle Brewery is a particular favourite of mine. Their whole range of beer is very good, but this is one of their yummy conditioned beers, which means the fermentation process continues in the bottle (a bit like champagne). As a result you end up with a yeast sediment at the bottom of the bottle, which adds to the taste and which is also very good for you, as it's chock-full of vitamin c.
This beer is made with Hersbrucker and Hallertau hops, which gives it a light continental taste, reminiscent of some of the great Belgian beers. It's 4.5% abv means you can have a couple without feeling completely blotto! Great when you're sitting outside in the warm spring sun nibbling on olives. £1.87 per bottle.
