Save the children - with coffee

Fair%20Instant%20Jars%20LR.JPGHere's one brew you can feel good about drinking, and unlike many of the pricer fairtrade brands on offer, Fair Instant is just good, honest great-tasting coffee, costing just £1.98 for granules and £2.54 for freeze dried beans. Yes, I did a double-take when I read that, too...

The two smiling faces on the jars are those of Jose and Lindelia, both coffee growers working for Fair Instant in Colombia. But it's not only the growers that will benefit from this coffee, as for each jar sold, 20p is donated to Save the Children's programme in Colombia. The money raised will provide 1500 children with essential school kits containing pens and paper, pencil sharpener, rubber and a gym kit, key school equipment such as blackboards, radios, libraries and toys depending on each target schools needs and provide teacher training.

Feel like a caffiene kick right now? The coffee has been available in Waitrose since Fairtrade Fortnight, Tesco, Asda and Makro since the beginning of the month, and will be in Sainsbury's and Morrisons in May.
