Merdeka natural fair trade stationery
Merdeka's range of stationery, photo albums, picture frames and boxes are all made from natural materials like fallen leaves and banana bark with textured paper made from rice husks. The company was set up whilst founder Deborah Gardiner travelled in south east Asia and stumbled across a family making some of the items. Since then, her suppliers have expanded but they follow fair trade principles and still employ traditional methods.
