Eat the seasons: Spring onions for spring

springonion.jpgI love the delicate flavour and crisp texture of spring onions, so am delighted to announce on behalf of Eat the Seasons that it's spring onion time again. Mid-March marks the time when these versatile greens come into season (along with leeks, purple sprouting broccoli and pomegranates, all of which are still seasonal) and you can look forward to adding them into potato salads, sauces, soups, or for a St. Patrick's day special, why not try making some champ, an Irish dish made with mashed potato, spring onions and cheese. Now, is it lunchtime yet?
