Spring really is just around the corner now (and justifiably so, following Vernal Equinox yesterday) so it's time to brush the cobwebs and remnants of last year's dead flowers away and get the garden/balcony/allotment looking pretty, or at least presentable, once again.
I always think lanterns are a really simple way of improving the ambience of your 'patch', and now you can have them made out of recycled cans. These funky 'Reclectic' lamps made from discarded cans in India are available from HomeArama Living, whose website has currently gone recycling crazy...
There are three sizes of the lanterns, all available via the website. If you're doing a festival this year, why not take one along and brighten up your tent (or MyHab?)
Another fun product currently on sale is the Translations range of wastebaskets, each one unique and wrapped in colourful Japanese newsprint. I rather like its smaller cousin; a pencil-pot made out of Japanese magazines. Kawaii!
