Eco totes: Bag them before it's too late...

myer_1.jpgDemand for Anya Hindmarch's 'I'm not a plastic bag bag' has now reached critical mass, and I was quite frankly gutted to discover that pre-ordering has been put on hold due to overwhelming demand. There'll be more on sale in March, but in the meantime, we continue our roundup of the best of the rest eco bags, with an international flavour that shows the trend is taking hold worldwide...

First up, a green bag from down under. Created by Alex Perry and Tigerlily’s Jodhi Meares, Mygreenbag from Myer is available in two different designs, and come in two sizes. Shown on the left is Alex Perry modeling the black shopping tote, and on the right is the Tigerlily bag.

Next, Japanese kitsch-mongers Tokyo Jazz Panda are offering a range of predictably cute eco shopping bags, featuring pigs, dogs and froggies. And they're only £4.99...Oh my! Follow the jump for a look.

The bags can be rolled up to fit into your hello kitty handbag, and taken out when you go to buy your noodles. They've also gone for English chic, with this oh-so-pretty Roses bag that behaves in exactly the same way:
