Volunteer Pedal-Powered Billboard

Billboard

This proof of concept billboard in BC involves 1500 LEDs, and according to DDB Vancouver the amount of power used to light it up (provided by volunteers engaging in pedal power!) would only have done 120 conventional mini-bulbs.  After five days they'd generated a lot of power, a lot of tired volunteers, and a lot of attention for the need to get off the conventional light routines.  LED fairy light strands will be super-cheap after Christmas; be sure to replace your old-school variety and pick up some extra in case you need low-power, low-impact lighting.  [GT]
