Greenpeace sez: Apple sucks, Nokia rules
The fellas at Tech Digest noted the unsurprising fact that Nokia makes the greenest gadgets of any of the big boys. Given the Scandinavian countries are famous for their eco-sensibilities, that's not going to be news. The shocker is: Apple is the biggest tech offender! Where Nokia scored a not-too-shabby 7.3/10 for chemical policy and disposal of electronic waste, Apple's at the bottom with an appalling 2.7/10 and no upsurge in sight. Meanwhile, Motorola bounced from second-worst to fourth-best in the same time period. We may love our iPods - but should we?
