Another good reason to outlaw common access to pesticides is that pesticides are the suicide method of choice in Asia. Readily available and potent, pesticides account for over 25% of global suicides, and act slowly enough that the person has ample time to (as is nearly always the case, again according to WHO) repent his decision but not be able to save himself.
