The CeeLite LEC Panel is so thin (how thin is it?) that you can flex it in your hands like a sheet of paper. It uses way less electricity than standard backlighting or neon tubing, and comes in panels of up to 2 square meters, making it ideal for signage. The applications for photography and video lighting are also huge, since it can be very tricky to get bright enough light in a tiny area without melting your gear. It could also lead to Sims-style posters that change depending on how cool you are (in your own house, at least). [GT]
