Tuesday blog roundup: Inconvenient truth 2 et al
Bill Clinton reports - via the sustainable style foundation - that he was hanging with Al Gore and mentioned that Gore should make a movie about what to do about climate change in small but useful steps. So he's gonna. Which is really good news. There's not much more news on it, but you can read the transcript of the Clinton interview to squeeze every last bit out. Heck, Clinton's an interesting guy anyhow, go ahead. When you get back, there's more blog roundup after the jump. [GT]
As always, Adam at thegreenguy has some great stuff. This week he talks about how to carbon-offset your London-NYC flights. Whether or not (as commenter Simon M says) offsetting is 'greenwash', it's a darn sight better than doing nothing.
EcoStreet notes that the City of Manchester stadium is getting a 120m wind turbine - first in the world. It will be provided by Ecotricity, will take two weeks to build, and should be up by the end of next year.
This week's Carnival of the Green is at Greener Miami, and has entries on Google's social entrepreneurship, GM rice and the Everglades Skyway.
Finally, WorldChanging celebrates its 3rd birthday AND 5,000th post! WorldChanging works with a personal icon of mine, the amazing photographer Edward Burtynsky, and their results are stellar. Congratulations ad infinitum!
