I'm not a big fan of activism-wear; I generally figure one should speak one's mind, not paint it on one's chest. (Yes, I know I'm in a tiny cultural minority with that.) However, Clothing of the American Mind may change my mind with their sharp and comfortable tees. I've pulled on samples of Peace and Stop Wars in the ladies' fitted tee variety and also the (stopsign) War tank (how apropos) of the tee shown here. I found them exceptionally well made, snug but not tight, high-quality cotton with simple but aesthetically pleasing silkscreened designs, and overall international value for a company supposedly targeting the one country. The shirts are also lightweight enough that they can be mailed in a padded envelope, so P + P shouldn't be too bad. £12.50-£14, with a percentage of all purchases going to a variety of politically progressive groups like the ACLU and Environmental Action. Surely Jamie Lee Curtis here is displaying a quite universal message as attractively as one can? [GT]
