Since perfume formulae are considered trade secrets, the companies don't have to tell you about the synthetics, endocrine disruptors and carcinogens they compound the stuff from. Or, you can go with the more expensive but less offensive offerings from Rich Hippie, Jo Wood Organics, Primavera Organic Eau de Toilette or Aftelier Natural Perfumes. Another good reason to go with the traditional perfumes is that, being based on natural substances, they're far less likely to injure people (like myself) who have chemical sensitivities - or to engender them in yourself.
