Luscombe Organic Elderflower bubbly

Considering that Coke and Pepsi dominate the Indian soda market, and were found loaded with pesticides, soda is an area where you should go organic. Like perfumes, soda formulae are trade secrets, and governments are unduly loath to push the megacorporations to conform to safety standards as much as one - given one is drinking such things - would want. Note that in "57 samples of Coca-Cola and PepsiCo drinks produced in 12 Indian states, the CSE found the average amount of pesticide residues to be 11.85 parts per billion (ppb), 34 times higher than the permitted limit set by the Bureau of Indian Standards"! Or, you can chill out with a nice emerald green bottle of Elderflower bubbly from Luscombe, made of spring water, cane sugar, white wine vinegar, lemon juice, elderflower and yeast. Sounds all natural to me. £2.79 per bottle. [GT]

I've been reading for ages now, and love hippyshopper, but have to take issue with your mis-representing the coke issue here. The Indian water supply GENERALLY has been found to contain pesticides in high levels, coke is produced using local water, albeit filtered, so some residue remains. It's probably better to have a bottle of coke than a glass of water from the tap in downtown Mumbai. Equally, going organic, in this case, if it was produced in India, would be of no added benefit....

Other than that... I agree with everything you write!!
