Water bans in the South to become de riguer

After five weeks' investigation, the Lords' science and technology committee report (due out today) is expected to call for the government to get its act together.  Hosepipe bans, water conservation, more meters, upping price of water - that, or a total all-out crisis where there simply isn't enough water to go around in the South.

So everything you do - from investigating bizarre new water generating technologies to buying new water (and energy) conserving gadgets) is totally relevant and applicable.  Either you clamp down on the water use - all of you do it - or you're going to run out.  And before then, it'll get really, really expensive.  Fancy paying just to get a cold drink from the tap?  [GT
