Crafting is sneaking toward mainstream at all age levels. (Even I have a box of beading materials and have given up buying jewelry for the most part, since it's much less expensive and more enjoyable to put together the simple parts myself.) Etsy.com has made it increasingly viable for home crafters to sell their work internationally. The 21st century home bespoke scene is now the subject of Indie Craft Documentary, a project by Faythe Levine & Micaela O'herlihy. To support the project you can drop a tip in the jar at their blog or you can buy Indie Craft Documentary buttons and t-shirts from their Etsy.com store. Plus Everyone who donates, shops and supports us will have their name in the credits of the movie. How sweet!
The picture is being shot all digitally, with a Panasonic AG-DVX100A Mini DV, which is only sensible in this modern era. Very unluckily their still digicam got lost in transit and there's no word on whether it's been found (which probably means no). Lots of crafters are donating goods to be sold via Etsy to help pay for the movie development, so keep an eye out for interesting new items to appear. Good luck, Faythe and Micaela! [GT]
