Plexiglass + lavender = table
farm21 produces very simple, old-school wooden benches of sustainably harvested fallen Irish hardwood from the Lisnavagh Timber Project but also does extraordinarily modern mixes of organics and plexiglass, such as the Lavender Table - plexiglass lined with ultra-blue lavender herbs - to the left. They also make lamps and blinds, but are most famous for their cubes.
The first farm21 cube, filled with straw, was created as a birthday gift for Sasha Sykes's father, and most of the materials continue to be sourced at her family farm. From there they made an entire line of cubes lined with straw, moss (shown to the right), lichen, grain, bark, french lavender and rosebuds. The cubes are sturdy enough to use as end tables or even stools. They also do bespoke pieces, including a table lined with hundreds of snooker chalks.
